Modeling manufacturing elasticities for sewn product point-of-sale replenishment.

A model describing the sewn product manufacturer's requirements to produce at the rate demanded by the point-of-sale environment. This method of manufacturing will emerge as an important production strategy for manufacturers that produce garments close to the market where they are purchased. The research illustrates those features of manufacturing systems that are central for manufacturers and also that affect the choice of manufacturing system.
