Sea Crossing: From Viet Nam to America, A Memoir of Lives Transformed is about the author's family's experience in the Viet Nam War, their boat journey from Viet Nam to Hong Kong, their lives in refugee camps, and new beginnings in the U.S. It is presented in four parts: Running, Hong Kong, Arrived in America, and Returning, Reflecting. Written in a combination of prose and poetry, this memoir reflects the personal and political struggles many Vietnamese Americans have faced during the past 30-plus years.
