Globalization and Advances in Computer Sciences: Using Interconnected Innovative Technologies for the Healthcare Industry

The aim of this study is to understand the reasons behind the inefficient and ineffective interconnections of information systems and technologies for hospital emergency departments and physician offices in the West Region of the United States. This is achieved by studying the release, transfer, reporting, and querying of patient records between emergency departments or physician offices and patients' providers, federal or state agencies, and outside sources using EHR systems.;This study will contribute in the development of effective interconnected health systems for an equitable globalized society by shedding the light on inefficiencies of EHR and EMR connectivity and interoperability. The research addresses the health part of this global conversation with a focus on the West Region of the United Sates. The major importance of this study is to identify the inefficiencies in interconnectivity of EHR systems and scientifically measure those using statistics in order to shed the light on the issue. We hope that future studies and applied actions will attend to those inefficiencies and begin enhancing our health system via complete and full secure sharing of electronic medical records across all involved health parties.
