Information theoretic protection for intellectual property.

摘要

This thesis discusses content-based protection for intellectual property. It argues for medium-independent schemes for the effective protection of copyrights, patents, and trade secrets, the three most common legally recognized intellectual property realms. The thesis gives constructive methods to protect these types of intellectual property by defining and constructing marks, fingerprints and cloaks. It concludes with a practical application describing a protection scheme for computer software.
