The integral of Novodvorsky and the local p-adic factors of the spinor L-function for the similitude symplectic group of order four.

In this thesis, we compute the local L-factors for Novodvorsky integrals for all generic representations of the group GSp(4) over a non-archimedean local field. Main tools used are Harish-Chandra's theory of distributions on p-adic manifolds, the work of Paul Sally, Marko Tadic, and Freydoon Shahidi on classification of representations of GSp(4), Freydoon Shahidi's theory of local coefficients, and Casselman-Shalika's asymptotic expansions for Whittaker functions.
