The main objective of this thesis has been to accomplish a diagnosis of the Organizational Learning Capacities and Styles that exist in the companies of the Household Textile Sector of the Valencia Lander. To accomplish such analysis, a model, based on previous models, has been elaborated: Shrivastasa (1983), Nevis and DiBella (1995), KPMG Peat Marwick (1996) and Tejedor, B. and Aguirre, A. (1998) mainly. It includes---as distinguished from these---additional key factors: the influence of the Information and Communication Technologies in the Organizational Learning, as well as other endogenous variables (industrial location, number of workers, accomplished processes, etc).;The fundamental hypothesis of the investigation has been that: The processes of the Organizational Learning (acquisition, allocation and use of the knowledge) has been made more explicit in those companies that accomplish an efficient use of Information and furthermore present some organizational infrastructure components.;The methodology followed in this work has consisted of the elaboration of a questionnaire in order to evaluate the relevant factors of the model (the opinion of various agents interested in the investigation: academic, companies, technological institutes, etc., has been taken into account); the accomplishment of the fieldwork; and the subsequent statistic analysis. To complement the points of view of the quantitative analysis, a qualitative analysis has been carried out through the visit to some representative companies of the sector and in-depth interviews with staff of these companies.
