Results for water solubility are presented for a wide variety of nitrogen compounds (primary, secondary, and tertiary amines) in water. Typical solubility values (parts per million by weight) are 12,000 for n-hexylamine (C6H15N), 29,100 for di-n-propyl amine (C6H15N), and 73,670 for triethylamine (C6H15N).; A new correlation for activity coefficient at infinite dilution is presented for nitrogen compounds (primary, secondary, and tertiary amines) in water. Since solubility is provided by the reciprocal of activity coefficient at infinite dilution for substances having low miscibility, the new correlation maybe used to provide reliable solubility values down to very low concentrations for amines (C6 and higher) in water. The correlation is based on boiling point temperature of the compound and can be used for engineering studies involving health, safety, and environmental considerations.; Results for Henry's law constant are provided for a wide variety of nitrogen compounds (primary, secondary, and tertiary amines) in water. Representative values for Henry's law constant (atm/mol fraction) are 1.51 for n-butylamine (C4H11N), 4.34 for methyl-n-butylamine (C5HM), and 11.16 for triethylamine (C6H15N) at ambient conditions. The results are usable in engineering studies involving health, safety, and environmental considerations.; The results for water solubility and Henry's law constant can be used in environmental applications. This work is a continuation of earlier work in Selected Topics in Thermodynamics.
