The subject of this thesis is application of the Linguistic Geometry (LG) approach to real-world Defense Systems. Due to their nature, these problems usually need to be modeled employing large scale, multi-dimensional games, with totally concurrent movement of a large number of various game agents. Such complex systems are not tractable by conventional methods due to the exponential growth of search trees. LG techniques provide a way to decompose these systems into hierarchies of dynamic subsystems by employing a Hierarchy of Formal Languages. LG approach dramatically reduces the complexity of the problems and allows for satisfactory solutions to be found.;The class of problems that can be addressed by these methods is formally defined as abstract board games (ABGs). Mapping real-world Defense Systems to ABGs is of particular interest due to the inherent variety of complex behavior. Introduction of hypergames further extends this approach by modeling simultaneous tightly interconnected systems using inter-linking mappings (ILMs). In addition, the software framework concepts presented in this thesis demonstrate how such representations and LG tools can be implemented. Consequently, Linguistic Geometry approach employing hypergames is a viable method for modeling and constructing strategies for real-world Defense Systems.
