A proposed health planning model characterizing the health consequences of urban design typologies.

摘要

The object of the thesis is to propose an urban health planning model to characterize the health consequences of different types of urban design typologies. Its scope is to describe the proposed model supported by the substantive planning literature. The proposed model is based on a classic Epidemiologic research model describing etiology (X → Y) taking into account the possibility of other effect-modifying factors (“X” factors). Substantive components of urban planning are taken from foundational urban planning texts. Suggestions for model testing and further development are made.
