The story of a librarian contributing to seventh grade students' reading.

摘要

This qualitative study examines how a middle school librarian can best promote and support students' reading. I set out to explore some ways to hook middle school students' interest in reading and make them recreational readers. Data was collected through a survey, interviews of individual students, and observations of whole classes. Gathering this data enabled me to better promote middle school reading, to enhance the level of enthusiasm toward reading, and to slow or reverse the decline in reading during these middle school years.
