ISO 9002 assessment and certification of a remanufacturing job shop.

This Thesis details how a smaller manufacturing job shop part of a much larger organization can be registered to the ISO 9002. The shop has very little control on the overall management of the organization, quality standards, equipment calibration, management policies, documentation and many other areas critical to ISO certification and registration.; ISO 9002 (International Organization for Standardization) is a series of standards applicable to any business, which has a manufacturing or remanufacturing unit. The requirements specified are aimed primarily at achieving customer satisfaction by preventing nonconformity at all stages of the job shop operations from uncanning of the blade to static balancing.; The various processes are analyzed and the non-conformities identified. Recommendations are made to improve each process to meet or exceed ISO requirements for the purpose of certification. It also addresses Preliminary Analysis and registration requirements of the rotary wing remanufacturing job shop.
