Business environments are becoming ever more dynamic and complex. Global markets mean global competition. Due to the complex intra- and inter-enterprise relationships and dependencies, businesses change continuously. Strategic analysis has become a crucial service for an enterprise to succeed. This thesis proposes tools and techniques for business analysts intended to support modeling, analysis and management of business objectives and strategies.; In particular, the thesis presents an ontology for modeling business strategies and studies techniques for representing and managing corporate strategic knowledge, such as strategic objectives, goals, relevant events, and potential obstacles.; The thesis also describes a prototype of a strategic business analysis tool, which helps an analyst decompose goals into sub-goals, define relationships between them, and describe potential obstacles and relevant events to look out for. It also supports the association of various informational entities to concepts in the model in order to aid decision-making and monitoring processes.
