Statistical Control of Peer Review Cost.

摘要

The development of the best operational sequence of statistical control of peer review cost weighs heavily in Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) level 5. Addressing special and common causes of variation, improving the process by reducing variation, and predicting future stable processes, is required. Peer reviews of code inspections, test plans, procedures, and reports can identify special and common causes of variations. Statistical Process Control methods (SPC) are used to recognize and correct special and common cause variations throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) peer review phases in order to control costs efficiently.;This dissertation presents analysis of four organizational baseline and operational scenario sequences. It makes use of SPC techniques and analysis of resulting data runs. Examples are presented to substantiate the application of techniques for the four sequences. As a result of this research, the best organizational baseline and operational scenario sequence recommendation for the use of statistical control of peer review cost will be provided.
