Dynamic Trip Generation attempts to develop the ability to predict the number and time for vehicles traveling into and out of zone based on socio-economic characteristics. The proposed study is to demonstrate the ability to develop a DTG model, and recommend the format for such a model that can develop a relationship between socioeconomic characteristics and time dependent trips within a zone of a medium size urban community. The relationship design is expected to follow the basic Trip Generation Model formulation with the inclusion of time as an additional factor.; As a first step in Dynamic Traffic Modeling process, this research examines the potential to develop a relationship, or a Dynamic Trip Generation Model. The case study and validation work performed in this thesis identified that a DTG model could be developed and transferred within a single urban area.
