摘要

The perspectives of teachers, staff, and administrators who work with students from preschool through twelfth grade of a rural school district within the Rocky Mountain region are the focus of this project. Data were collected voluntarily through a survey and interviews. The ultimate goal of this research is to improve relationships between teachers and ELL students and families. In order for this to occur, we must see clearly where teachers have struggles or strengths. Better understanding teacher perspectives will also more clearly delineate specific needs of professional development for teachers. This research will provide more information for advocates and allies of ELL students and families as they work to create equal access to education and include ELL families in our schools as well as support teachers and other school staff.
