The concept of aircraft health monitoring and maintenance has become more important to the airline industry over the last few decades. The maintenance community has limited tools to find the increasing number of faults in the aircraft wiring. Although the tools are available, the distance to the fault is not easily found. When the fault is within a meter of the wire harness connector, they can be very difficult to locate with test equipment.; This thesis will focus on improved algorithms to be used with Frequency Domain Reflectometry to find the location of wire faults on very short wires.
