Genetically modified corn is one of the chief products of many pharmaceutical and agricultural companies. As important as its applications have been, it has also become imperative that pollen of genetically modified corn does not cross-pollinate with the natural species. Natural Species must be preserved without much modification in their genetic make-up, which would otherwise result in undesirable ramifications in future generations. In order to avoid cross-pollination, the natural species should be grown in a safe distance from the modified corn.;The objective of this research was to use Computational Fluid Dynamics software to determine the distance traversed by the genetically modified corn pollen under different environmental conditions. The software uses the governing integral equations for conservation of mass and momentum, and when appropriate, for energy and other scalars such as turbulence and chemical species. A control volume based approach was used to obtain solutions to the governing integral equations.
