摘要

In order to improve the efficiency of airborne search and rescue operations, a high performance opto-mechanical pointing system was developed by Defence Research and Development Canada-Valcartier. With the help of Risley prisms, it allows the use of a step-stare technique, which rapidly builds a high resolution, large area coverage mosaic from smaller images. A dynamic strategy that adapts automatically to the operational context was developed to control image acquisition according to criteria based on the state of the mosaic. The images taken are geo-referenced by the projection of their corner onto the ground using flight data. They are assembled according to the actual point of view with homographic transformations. The results given by our flight image taking simulator indicate that the content of the mosaic is refreshed every 2 seconds and that it covers more than 99% of the mosaic.
