Comparing adolescent normative data for the repeatable battery for the assessment of neuropsychological status (RBANS): A pilot study.

The purpose of this study is to add to the pool of data regarding use of the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) among adolescent populations. The RBANS Updated version became available in December, 2012, and is designed for use among individuals age 12 to 89 years.;This study recruited non-clinical, volunteer participants (N=11). All subjects were age 18 to 19 years. This study used RBANS Form A and the Alternate Form C to gather data via two testing sessions. The Index Scores showed strong correlation between Forms 'A' and 'C' within this study and generally compare well with Index Scores in the original normative data provided in the RBANS Update Manual. Limitations of the study include a relatively small sample size, and a lack of diversity within the sample subjects. Implications for future research include the need for larger sample sizes to allow for tighter age-specific norm development.
