The study sought to combine the benefits of both the play of children and the use of interactive media in an effort to increase comradery and prosocial behavior between pairs of participants composed of typically developing students and those deemed at-risk concerning social development. Over the course of a four-week intervention emphasizing cooperative video game play, an increased presence of effective, appropriate social interaction within participant pairs was observed in addition to a pattern regarding devotion to certain recess activities by those participants observed on multiple occasions. Considerations regarding study results, methodology, and resources are discussed.
