摘要

The North Korean nuclear crisis has wider implications beyond the successes and failures of international diplomacy. Living in an anarchical political system means that there is a thin line between war and peace. Predicting how to prevent crisis and maintain compliance with international rules and regulations means the difference between a world governed by the rule of law and lawlessness. Analyzing the nature of foreign policy in handling conflicts ameliorates our understanding not only of conflict resolution strategies, but how to prevent future wars from occurring.; Researching the North Korean Crisis required numerous different sources on the subject. Primary and Secondary sources included: an interview with an expert on North Korean affairs, reading various books and journal articles from foreign policy organizations and think-tanks to learn different analysis on the problem, remaining up-to-date on all current news pertaining to the crisis from: The Economist, BBC News, CRS Issue Briefs for US Congress, and the US Department of State website.
