Kobe and overseas Chinese: Transformation of relation under national system.

摘要

What influence has the modern nation state given to the social life of east Asia? What was lost when people get for the ideology such as "Identity"? This study ask it from the aspect of the relation construction. It analyzed the action of the nation in the relation construction between Kobe region and the overseas Chinese over there.;From the Meiji era period to postwar days, consideration such as a local history, provincial papers of Kobe, the investigation report concerning the overseas Chinese, and the overseas Chinese's own descriptions, newspapers of the community, events for the self-production was done. Through these materials, how the relation is constructed, what role did the nation play is considered.;In the relation construction between Kobe and overseas Chinese, the tense relation of three elements was shown: the concern for the nation, the concern for the profit competition, and the concern for morality ethics. The Kobe region and the overseas Chinese had narrowing their concern and their recognition to the life world while integrating into the national system. In the globalization, the nation releases them after it narrows them, this process becomes a structure to recognition and the concern in the relation construction. The present study also thinks about the possibility of constructive relations scheme under the nation.
