摘要

Lead and arsenic contamination at several of British Columbia's Canada Coast Guard lightstations was examined to try to predict a trend in movement of these metals from soils into the environment by comparing and correlating the soil concentrations with four variables: groundwater; mussel tissue bioaccumulation; leachate; and vegetation bioaccumulation.; Statistical analysis demonstrated no significant relationship between total soil metal concentrations and metal concentrations in groundwater or mussel tissue, but it did find that there is a linear relationship between total soil metal concentrations and metal concentrations in leachate and vegetation.
