Using visual materials to increase science comprehension for struggling readers.

摘要

Including special learners in the general education classroom can be a challenge. Adaptations and modifications must be made to accommodate all types of learners, and this can be a difficult task for general education teachers. This study examined the preparedness of general education teachers to make the necessary adjustments for special education students in their classrooms. Major factors studied were collaboration, preservice education, and inservice workshops or trainings.
