摘要

With the increasing penetration of renewable energies into the electrical grid, it has become even more important to design converters to facilitate the inclusion of these new sources into the grid. To that purpose, this thesis investigates the control and modulation of a three-phase four-legged inverter for a car charging station designed by the Fraunhofer Institut (IWES). There is a theoretical discussion of a multiple loop control scheme: DC link voltage control combined with a feed forward control, a q-o reference current control, and a main current control loop and an extensive analysis about the theory behind and implementation of three dimensional space vector modulation. The design is implemented into Matlab (R) using Simulink (R) and Piecewise Linear Electrical Circuit Simulator, PLECS (R), software. The functionality of the Space Vector Modulation was successfully tested while the control was not implemented.
