Elderly Korean immigrants satisfaction with adult day health care.

The purpose of this study was to measure the satisfaction levels among elderly Korean immigrant participants of Adult Day Health Care services (ADHC). Specific objectives of the study were (1) to generate a demographic profile of elderly Korean immigrants participating at ADHC, (2) to determine the degree of elderly Korean immigrants' satisfaction with ADHC, and (3) to compare the results of this survey with past surveys.; Most elderly Korean immigrants (91.7%) displayed a high level of satisfaction with their overall experience with ADHC. Although there were no significant differences found in any of the variables when evaluating the ADHC as a whole (all factors), there were some significant differences found when evaluating each aspect of ADHC separately. Significant differences were found in the level of satisfaction in relation to gender, marital status, education, and religion (p .05). This study of elderly Korean participants attending ADHC not only supports the previous studies regarding satisfaction with ADC or ADHC from the mainstream U.S. elderly population, but also found that a minority group of Korean elders was highly satisfied with ADHC services.
