A floristic inventory of the east slope of the Wind River Mountain Range and vicinity, Wyoming.

A comprehensive vascular plant inventory of the east slope of the Wind River Mountain Range and vicinity was conducted in 2005 through 2006. A total of 1,056 unique taxa were documented for the study area based on fieldwork and existing records housed within the Rocky Mountain Herbarium. Forty-four taxa represented by 166 voucher specimens are considered species of special concern by one or more agency. The study further reports nine noxious weeds collected at 21 sites and 224 collections of 55 exotic taxa. Two state records for Wyoming, Carex lenticularis var. dolia and Festuca viviparoidea ssp. krajinae, were also documented by this inventory. The study area is characterized in terms of climate, geology, soils, and vegetation. An additional discussion is provided regarding species of conservation concern, noxious and exotic taxa, and state records. An annotated checklist provides information about the flora, delimiting each taxon's number of occurrences, elevation range, habitat type(s), geographic region(s), and synonymy.
