This project was designed to study job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intent among urban and rural practicing CRNAs in the State of Michigan. The study sample consisted of 1102 active CRNAs who are also members of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. A total of one hundred sixty-two surveys (14.7% response rate) were returned. The findings are presented in accordance with the research questions and the respective hypotheses including demographic factors. The results of the t-test showed that rural practicing CRNAs overall job satisfaction scores were significantly different than their urban counterparts. However, rural practicing CRNAs reported higher and significantly different agreement on organizational commitment. There were no significant differences between the two groups in term of turnover intent.
