This thesis focuses on receiver design for wideband MIMO fading channels. Specifically, a D-BLAST architecture is considered at the transmitter and an iterative receiver is proposed that combines a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) with an array of soft-input-soft-output (SISO) channel decoders. The DFE compensates for the intersymbol interference (ISI) and exchanges soft information with the channel decoder. Numerical results illustrate significant reduction in symbol error rate after just a few iterations. The complexity of the receiver is significantly lower than similar iterative receivers in the literature.
