It is a well-known fact that the effect of wind on buildings is an extremely complex phenomenon. Wind is air with mass traveling at a given velocity. Research engineers have long strived to reduce these complexities to a practical set of equations and coefficients that can be used in practice to safely design buildings for wind pressure distribution. Wind load calculations are important in designing of the wind force-resisting system including various physical members of a house.; In this thesis, we have tried to establish a simulation of wind speed over a house in every possible terrain geographical location and a few possible settings. We also tried to establish a behavior of wind pressure over a house, which is located on a flat surface and is of a definite size, shape and configuration. In this work, we try to analyze the wind pressure in every possible direction. We use CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) as our tool to study and to carry out analysis. We use GAMBIT and FLUENT softwares, a building structure is selected, a model is designed and meshed in GAMBIT software, boundary conditions are applied, analysis is carried in FLUENT software. Various pressure values are observed and tabulated along with contours and plots.
