Factors associated with immunization non-compliance leading to suspension from school: A retrospective study.

This retrospective, descriptive study used 4,783 immunization records and census tract data to investigate social environmental factors related to immunization non-compliance leading to school suspension in an urban Canadian city. Chi-square analysis showed a significant difference in social environmental factors between students that lived in priority and non-priority neighborhoods while a t-test showed no significant difference in suspension rates between students that lived in priority and non-priority neighborhoods. Logistics regression determined the extent that three social environmental factors predicted students from priority and non-priority neighbourhoods. Multiple linear regression determined six social environmental factors that influenced the magnitude of the suspension rate.
