Resistance and liberation: The organizational development, management and utilization of the Dutch Resistance during World War Two and the liberation of Holland.

The story of the Dutch Resistance during the liberation of Holland from German occupation in World War Two offers some important lessons for future operations under similar circumstances. The establishment and development of the Dutch Resistance followed the theoretical patterns established in labor process and social process theories. Indigenous resistance organizations can be significant combat multipliers if they are properly employed to assist military forces intent on liberating a country from a hostile occupation army.
