Application of Skopos Theory in Translation of Financial Derivatives

摘要

作者试图通过对翻译目的论的发展历史、基本理论框架和三大原则的分析，将其应用于金融衍生工具的翻译，指导翻译实践。翻译目的论认为所有的翻译活动都有其特定的目的，翻译的整个过程都由该目的决定，包括翻译策略、技巧的选择，翻译质量的评估等等。首先，目的论为金融衍生工具的翻译提供了基本的理论框架，即译文文本需要在译入语境中按读者期望的方式发生作用;其次，目的论的三大规则，即目的、连贯和忠实规则，可指导译者在翻译实践中选择相应的策略及解决具体的问题;另外目的论也为翻译实践提供了评介译文质量的标准尸—合适翻译，即译文必须适合翻译要求，完成其在译入语境和文化中的交际功能。联系规范术语的相关理论，目的论也可用于术语的规范和统一。
