摘要

根据当代隐喻观,隐喻是一种认知手段,一种思维和行为方式,是语言发展的重要工具;隐喻普遍存在于人们的日常生活和语言中。本文于第一章回顾了中西外语教学的发展历史及西方对隐喻的研究历程,并提出将隐喻引入外语教学。第二章首先阐述了隐喻认知观,从认知角度对隐喻的定义、分类、特点及功能作了详细论述。其后作者从两个方面阐述了隐喻与外语教学的关系,指出将隐喻引入外语教学的目的是培养学生的目的语隐喻能力,从而帮助其达到目的语使用者的流利程度。为了调查中国学生的外语隐喻能力,本文作者于第三章设计了问卷,并对山东师范大学、聊城大学和莱阳农学院一、二年级的270名非英语专业学生的英语隐喻能力进行了随机测试;结果显示,大部分被试的英语隐喻能力不高,且在其文本中也很少使用隐喻表达。鉴于此,论文第四章提出建构隐喻式外语教学的教学理念,并对隐喻式外语教学的理论基础、教学目的、教学原则、教学方法及测试一一作了界定,以期提高我国的外语教学。
