《夏洛的网》两译本中翻译伦理模式的对比分析

摘要

伦理学是一门具有广泛渗透力的学科，其研究对象是一定社会的基本人际关系规范及其相应的道德原则。任何人类活动几乎都会涉及到伦理问题。翻译作为一种跨文化交往活动，可以说它就是一种伦理行为，其本质属性决定了它需要伦理学的指导。
　　 翻译理论界关于翻译伦理的研究兴起于20世纪80年代，法国当代翻译家、伦理研究学者AntoineBerman是最早提出“翻译伦理”概念的学者。之后，LawrenceVenuti，AnthonyPym，AndrewChesterman也相继提出了各自的伦理观。其中，芬兰学者AndrewChesterman首次将翻译伦理这一模糊概念进行具体划分并总结出了五个主要的翻译伦理模式，即再现伦理、服务伦理、交际伦理、基于规范伦理和承诺伦理。近几十年来，翻译研究取得了长足的发展与进步，然而，令人遗憾的是，在国内，翻译研究者对儿童文学翻译的关注远远少于对成人文学翻译的关注。此外，中国儿童文学的翻译在理论和实践两方面的发展也很不平衡，儿童文学的译作层出不穷，而针对儿童文学的专门研究却很少。因此，翻译界迫切需要从儿童文学翻译的实际需要出发，致力于儿童文学翻译的深入研究。
　　 本文以Chesterman的翻译伦理模式为理论基础，对《夏洛的网》两中译本进行描写性的对比分析，以显示翻译伦理思想对儿童文学翻译的指导作用。文章首先对论文的理论基础作了说明，主要阐述翻译伦理的概念、理论基础，以及国内外专家的研究成果，并重点对Chesterman的五种翻译伦理模式进行阐述。Chesterman的翻译伦理模式借鉴并综合了很多已有的翻译伦理观，为翻译伦理和翻译实践研究提供了多种视角。
　　 本文之后简要地探索了儿童文学的历史及发展状况，并且介绍了《夏洛的网》原文及两个中文译本。第三部分为本论文的核心部分，采用描写性的研究方法，以Chesterman总结概括的较全面的翻译伦理模式为基础，通过对儿童文学《夏洛的网》两个中译本的研究，剖析了这一儿童文学两中译本的伦理问题，并逐一探讨了五种主要的翻译伦理模式在儿童文学翻译中的体现及相互之间的关系。第四部分是对翻译伦理模式的一些思考，提出所有的翻译伦理模式不是绝对地好，或绝对地不好，任何一种翻译模式都不能适合所有场合;在具体的翻译中应视具体情况而定，充分考虑文本、读者和社会文化环境等具体因素，综合地考虑多种模式。
　　 最后总结全文，通过运用Chesterman的翻译伦理模式对儿童文学两中译本进行个案研究，认为Chesterman的五个翻译伦理模式对译者翻译儿童文学作品各有影响，译者应根据综合考虑文本、读者和社会文化环境等多种因素选择某种或多种适当的翻译模式，为读者呈现出最恰如其分的儿童文学翻译作品。此外，期望本文能为儿童文学翻译研究打开一个更新更广的视角，同时也为翻译伦理学的理论发展提供一定的实践支持。
