The profitability of companies operating in the Czech Stone Cluster and its impacts

Czech Stone cluster is one of the first clusters, which originated in the Czech Republic. This cluster brings together companies involved in mining and processing of stone in eastern Bohemia. The aim of this cluster is to support and develop education and stone processing industry, strengthening the competitiveness and innovation activities, which should increase economic growth in the industry and companies creating supportive infrastructure, and thereby facilitate employment growth and wealth of the region. Economic data of all firms in this cluster were subjected to investigation and based on the outcomes of this research found a positive influence activities of companies in this cluster and theirs economic growth in the period. It is possible to identify measurable results that impact on the evaluation of this cluster.
