摘要

The four suspension bridges discussed are of technical innovation after the completion of the Shantou Bay Bridge, which is the world's longest span suspension bridge stiffened by PC box girder (Fig. 6). The authors of this paper took charges of the design of the four bridges. By the end of 2003, the four bridges have been completed and opened to traffic (Fig. 7). Practices show that this type of bridges is cost-effective and feasible in the similar construction conditions.
