The SMARQ model performances (i.e. R~2, IVF and REs) has been tested on fourteen catchments (3 dry, 3 semi-arid and 8 humid) with different climatic (i.e. from southern tropical climate to northern monsoon climate), geographical and vegetation conditions, ranging in area from 1090 km~2 up to 67180 km~2), the tested model performances (i.e. R~2, IVF and REs) show that the SMARQ model forms have a wider spectrum of application because the model provides a better simulation for hydrologic processes for different catchments, in particular, Shiguan catchment, chosen as a test area for the HUBEX project. But, for tropical and forested area, Tons and Sg- Bernam catchments, the simulation of the SMARQ was much weaker because the model water balance components maybe not care for vegetation and forest intercept. As for versatile model, it should concern about the description of representing as closely as possible the actual physical processes (vegetation intercept, melting snow, and human activities) occuring within the catchment.
