This paper describes the advanced meteor-burst test bed (AMBTB)noperated between Charleston, South Carolina and Verona, New York (750nmiles). The AMBTB was established by the Advanced Research ProjectsnAgency (ARPA) to demonstrate the capabilities of multi-mediancommunication via meteor scatter to prospective Government andncommercial users. A demonstration site has also been established nearnARPA headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Currently, the AMBTB supportsnaverage hourly data-bit throughput in excess of 4 kbps. This throughputnperformance enables demonstration attendees to witness both text andndigitized-voice communications via the AMBTB MB link. This paperndescribes the AMBTB configuration and presents some preliminarynlink-performance results
