摘要

The pre-integrated volume rendering which produces high-quality images with less sampling has become one of the most efficient and important techniques in volume rendering field. In this paper, we propose an acceleration technique of pre-integrated rendering of dynamically classified volumes. Using the overlapped-min-max block, empty space skipping of ray casting can be applied in pre-integrated volume rendering. In addition, a new pre-integrated lookup table brings much fast rendering of high-precision data without degrading image quality. We have implemented our approaches not only on the consumer graphics hardware but also on CPU, and show the performance gains using several medical data sets.
