摘要

Extinction ability of foam in the range of 3-5 μm and 8 ~ 14μm was studied by OPAG33 open-path Fourier transform infrared(OP-FTIR)spectrometer. The study shows the relation between infrared transmittance and the concentration of frother. In the beginning,the infrared transmittance decreases when the concentration of frother increases. And then the infrared transmittance increases after the concentration of frother reaches 0.1mol/l. Diameter of foam is smaller,the infrared transmittance is lower. Thickness of foam is larger,the infrared transmittance is lower. The infrared transmittance is less than 20% when the diameter is 4~7mm and the thickness is 10cm.
