A Multifunctional Testing Device for Rock Fragmentation by Combining Cut with Impact

摘要

A new testing device of cutting rock under the combination of impact and static load was introducedrnand its major parameters were analyzed. The device is a multifunctional testing machine that canrnconduct single test including cutting under horizontally static load, fragmentation under impact load,rnindentation test under vertically static load and combined cutting test under the dynamic and staticrnloads. Not only can it be carried out single cutter test, but also for multi-cutters or disc/roller cutterrntest. Granite and concrete samples with different strength were conducted on the testing machine byrnPDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) flat cutters and carbide alloy cutters under differentrnloadings. The results show that the testing parameters are adjustable and the data are reliable. Therntesting device is a suitable testing machine that is easy to operate and has reasonable structure inrnlaboratory for simulating rock drilling or breaking under the combination of dynamic and static load,rnand has much value in designing and manufacturing of tunnelling machines and mechanizedrnexcavators.
