Abstract: An experimental study of parametric amplification of light beams with screw dislocations is presented. It is shown that a vortex can be parametrically amplified preserving its topological charge. The reversal of the vortex in an optical parametric amplifier is demonstrated experimentally. It is shown also that OPA can be used for the vortex reversal and its frequency conversion. Experimental result are in agreement with theoretical predictions. !10
