摘要

The amendment of the registered urban planners' examination syllabus is executed under the background of the rapid development of China's planning. The accurate grasp of the syllabus is not only a response to examination, more important is to adapt to this need. Changes in soeio-economic conditions, especially transition from a planned economy to a market economy, make the resident type and living interaction requirements in the residential quarters change radically. Therefore, indepth study of the characteristics in the transition period of living requirements of residents is necessary and teaching reform of residential area planning is imperative.
