Initiation of the axotomy―induced neuronal response in anti―injury mechanism of the primary sensory neurons may be different between peripheral TG and central MTN. Table Intensity of N ― d enzyme cytochemistry and nNOS/ HSP27 immunocytochemisstry in MTN and TG neurons (2, 3 and 4 weeks after axotomy).
