Using Six Sigma to Enhance the Process Maturity of a Supply Chain

摘要

This paper explains the influence of processoriented methodology on the performance of a supply chain, applies the concept of process maturity to the SCM domain, analyses the rationale of integrating SCM and Six Sigma, and presents a basic Six Sigma-based framework that could effectively enhance the process maturity of a supply chain, further improving the performance of the supply chain. This framework can be applied to the performance improvement either of an entire supply chain process or of any sub-process.
