The Dyeing of Nylon 6,6 with Sulfer Dyes

Although sulfur dyes are commonly used for the dyeing of cellulosic fibers, their use onrnpolyamide fibers has not enjoyed widespread interest. Recently, however, progress hasrnbeen made in the application of selected sulfur dyes to nylon 6,6. This paper will reportrnthe results of dyeing nylon 6,6 with sulfur dyes in terms of color strength, washfastnessrnand lightfastness. A discussion of the mechanism of sulfur dyeing of nylon 6,6 will berngiven.
