There is a clamour in the applied disciplines for them to embrace pluralist thinking and practice. this has been emanating fro mmanagement science as much as anywhere else, with some in both systems thinking and Or arguing strongly for a pluralist approach. Fortunately, in management science, the noise always associated with any interesting new development has been matched by considered attempts to orchestrate the sometimes disparate voices in favour of pluralism. THis makes management science both a direct beneficiary of pluralist thinking and puts it at the forefront of debates surrounding the topic in the applied disciplines generally.
