Two blacks having widely dissimilar particle size & structure with optimum doses considerably improve the dynamic mechanical properties, thermo mechanical properties and also extend the magic triangle considerably for truck tire application. Following proper sequence in the mixing cycle of the compounded rubber, it showed lower Payne Effect, relaxed die swell and increase Newtonian flow behavior. Fracture mechanics study showed reduced dislocation density. Though there are large shear displacement occurred on few widely separated planes but there is considerable reduction in separation of ship plane by increase percentage of high particle size blacks. Crystallography study has shown more compact crystal structure in case of dual blacks when compounded rubber is subjected to strain induced crystallization. The degree of crystallinity showed much improvement in stretched condition.
