Identifying Core Competence of Sports Journals in China from the Perspective of Author

摘要

This paper is to identify the core competence of sports journals in China from the perspective of author and reader, combined with theories on core competence and analysis on macro-development of journals, and to discuss the cases of representative journals with core competence advantages, for example, manuscript evaluation process advantage of Journal of Capital Institute of Physical Education, network impact advantage of Journal of Physical Education, review period advantage of Journal of Tianjin University of Sport, popularity advantage of Journal of Sports and Science, institutional identity advantage of Journal of sports science, and etc. The times when identity is considered to determine fate has gone and now journals are faced with new circumstances externally and internally, which has promoted the innovation of journals.
